How genetically modified foods are accelerating the food crisis

GM crops have no real merits for the farmer. Yields actually decrease and the amount of agricultural chemicals will increase. Monsanto has claimed that yields will increase, but they have not introduced DNA that specifically leads to increased yields. Furthermore, the insecticide-tolerant pests and herbicide-tolerant weeds are spreading, and as a result, increased amounts of agrichemicals continue to be used. This brings about an absurd destruction of the environment.

Kids Have a Right To Know

Founded on the belief that we all have the “Right to Know” what’s in our food, regardless of age, Kids Right to Know seeks to inform, educate, and motivate kids to stand up and make a difference.

Unfortunately, for the past twenty years we’ve been denied our right to know. Approximately 70% of the foods we now eat contain Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). Many independent peer reviewed studies question the safety of GMOs, both for our health and for the health of our environment. Without labeling, we don’t have the Freedom of Choice to decide what we eat. The Just Label It! campaign was created to advocate for the labeling of GMO foods.

 

GMO Corn Linked To Cancer Tumors

Eating genetically modified corn (GMO corn) has caused rats to develop horrifying tumors, widespread organ damage, and premature death. That's the conclusion of a shocking new study that looked at the long-term effects of consuming Monsanto's genetically modified corn. The study was published in The Food & Chemical Toxicology Journal and was just presented at a news conference in London.

The study has been deemed "the most thorough research ever published into the health effects of GMO food crops and the herbicide Roundup on rats." News of the horrifying findings is spreading fast, with even the mainstream media in shock over the photos of rats with multiple grotesque tumors; tumors so large the rats even had difficulty breathing in some cases. GMOs may be the new thalidomide.

Study Links GMOs to Over 22 Different Diseases: Yet More Evidence GMOs Should be Banned
